Canon CLI-8 Cyan Compatible Cartridge (WITH CHIP)
This is a TWO PART cartridge (consisting of PLUGIN and CRADLE), and INCLUDES a new compatible chip. When you run out of ink, all you need is a new plugin and a new chip.
Why do I need a chip on this cartridge
For some printers that use Canon CLI-8 cartridges, you dont "really" need a chip if you dont mind the message that your ink is low. But for some printers, such as multifunction units, they may refuse to print faxes from memory unless the cartridges have a chip. So, to be safe, its better to get these cartridges with chips.
How do I use your TWO PART cartridge system
This cartridge is COMPLETE, comes with a chip, plugin and cartridge cradle. When you run out of ink, you can just buy a new plugin and chip.
